9:25 am - MessageBoard2000 (2023)

MessageBoard2000 is a webcore/NEOY2K album, a musical loveletter dedicated to old internet forums from the 90s/2000s!
Influenced by old video game music and electronic/chillout music from that era, I created the album using, GaregeBand synths, SNES soundfonts, audio samples from obsolete computer software like Xfire, MIDI samples collected from old Geocities websites and hidden Windows XP files, vocoders, and field recordings of my heater system! A lot of passion and love went into this project to give it the sonic experience of floating through the cyberscapes of the old web!

Arctic ❄° - Snowpunk (2021)

Snowpunk is an experimental album, a concept for a microgenre named Snowpunk. Inspired by other internet microgenres such as vaporwave, witch house, seapunk, and frutiger aero.
Initially an assignment from the art academy where we had an online class during a snow day, and the teacher asked us to make a piece that portrays the future using the snow as reference, I used this opportunity to try out the Zoom H5 field recorder I had just gotten at the time to record the snow and manipulate the sounds in Logic Pro X which resulted in the first track called Snowciety. Not intended to be an actual music project at first, I listened to the track a few more times and felt inspired to experiment more and build this entire world set in the future in which the listener awakens centuries later from a cryogenic slumber after being trapped inside an enormous ice cube inside a snow cave, having to adapt to the new ice age as they explore their surroundings. Tracks portray different settings and occupations I'd imagine society would partake in if the entire world had become a giant snowball. The entire visual identity of the album is created by me, too.

Caesár - Unfairy Tale (2021)

Unfairy Tale is an industrial rock song I wrote all the way back in 2017, when I was going through a pretty dark time in my life. The song is inspired by trip-hop and rock noir music, and also a little bit of nerdcore as it contains a soundfont from the JRPG game Chrono Trigger. Musical influences for this song were Here but I'm gone by Curtis Mayfield and The Only Way by Tricky.

9:25 am - Class Of '97 (2020)

Class Of '97 is a utopian virtual/vaporwave/webcore album inspired by the soundtracks of oldskool videogames for the Gameboy Advance, SNES, and Playstation, these simple minimalistic looping background songs. This was a passion project I worked on during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I was imagining my university being this retro online, low poly video game, and tried to visualise a world around it sonically. At the time I made this, I had not yet really mastered the art of composing music using DAWs beyond sampling, and I was learning how to make music along the way while finishing up more and more songs! The idea and concept is definitely stronger than the execution, but I am still proud of creating this album! It initially had a promotional website as well, but paying for hosting for a niche passion project mostly enjoyed by myself was getting pricey for me, unfortunately. Besides that, I also made an infomercial where I hired actual voice actors as well as someone with a VCR to give it that retro effect to further immerse one into the world of 925 University!

I wake up, take a shower (2020)

Although not officially music, I wake up, take a shower is a poetic short film I made while studying at the Willem de Kooning Acedemy.
The poem was originally written during The Lockdown Project at the MAS in Antwerp back in 2019. This project was a 24 hour residency in several museums around Antwerp in which artists from Antwerp, Tilburg, Manchester, and Warsaw were locked inside and created a performance to be shown during museum night! MAS had an exhibition about rituals at the time, which inspired the performance, and my poem!
